I don’t think Paulini will mind if I displace her news for the moment and use this space to let people know how they can help the people in bushfire ravaged Victoria.

A firefighter rescues a baby sugar-glider from the fires
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people of Kingslake, Marysville and surrounding areas who have suffered so much in the last few days.
We all want to help but apparently they really have enough donations of clothes and food etc for the moment at least.
I believe they are looking for blood donors but otherwise the best thing you can do is – if you can afford it – make a donation of money.
Here are some ways to donate or support the people in Victoria’s fire-devastated regions.
Make a donation by calling 13 72 58 or via the Salvation Army website at www.salvos.org.au
Go to the cricket today – An appeal will run during today’s one-day cricket international between Australia and New Zealand at the Adelaide Oval and revenue from all tickets sold will also be donated. The Australian players will also donate their match fees from the game, while Cricket Australia has contributed $100,000 and the South Australian Cricket Association has pledged $25,000.
Go to the footy – Friday night there will be an AFL Bushfire Appeal game between the Western Bulldogs and Essendon at the Telstra Dome. The league will donate all proceeds of the game to communities affected by the fires.
Support one of the telethons - Channel 7 will run a telethon during Friday night’s game at Telstra Dome and sports players will attend Thursday night’s telethon on Channel 9.
Go to the rugby – The four Australian Super 14 rugby teams will co-ordinate donations at their first home games of the season, which begins at the weekend.
Big thanks to the dedicated firefighters, hopes and wishes that the fires are stopped asap and much disgust at whoever it was who started these murderous fires (you are pretty much the scum of the earth).
Fantastic article Jacki!
Thanks so much xox
Kate DeAraugo’s Official facebook states that Paulini is on the bill at the Bendigo Showgrounds Concert on April 5th! here’s what is says.

Hello to all my lovely freinds on facebook!
Back in February I posted about the free concert I was planning in my home town of Bendigo.
This concert is basically to thank all those wonderful people who have helped the residents of Bendigo, and surrounding suburbs in the wake of the Bush fires.
also to raise the morale of the people who live there. Since they have been through such a horrendous ordeal and some have lost their relatives, friends and their entire homes and all they have worked for.
I just wanted to do something to help so hopefully this might cheer everyone up.
I’m hoping you guys can help me get the word out to everyone you know over this way and perhaps you might even come along yourselves and say hello to me!!!
)
Make sure you tell me you saw this on FB
Anyway, the concert is now going to be at the
Bendigo Show Grounds
On April 5th 2009,
There’s loads of awesome Aussie bands coming along to take part, including The Choirboys, Dragon, Normie Rowe, Emily Williams, Paulini Curuenavuli, and hopefully the Screaming Jets, ( still waiting on confirmation for them) but there’s loads of awesome muso’s taking part. They’re still siging onto the project as we speak.
This is going to be HUGE! Bigger than expected.
The concert is free, so that’s even better for you guys!
Please, Please tell EVERYONE! and let’s make this a huge success!
Big love
