If you are already registered follow these instructions to add news items. Otherwise, you will need to sign up for the site first to see this item in your user menu.
You will have an item in your user menu that says “Submit news”. Click on that and it will take you to a form you fill out to submit your news item.
Put in a short title for your news item. Select “user news” from the drop down menu for categories. Then write a couple of sentences in the first box to introduce your news. If you only have a short item just put all of it in the first box.
If you have a long article/news item, put the “teaser” in the first box and then the main part of it in the second box.
There are 4 headings across the top of the content section that allow you to add an image from those available in the site, add keywords and set a publishing date. It can be tricky to understand at first but feel free to ask questions if you dont know what to do. Otherwise, just add the content and ignore the rest and we can fix the images etc later for you.
If you know how to write html you can use some basic tags in your submission like paragraph tags and bold, italic tags.
Most of all, dont worry about all the extras – just write it and we can sort it all out for you if anything is in the wrong place! It comes through admin before being published so it wont appear straight away. But we try to approve them within a couple of hours – depending on the time of day you submit them!
