UPDATE!!! From her management team! Just in – Tomorrow [Thursday] Sunrise is playing a segment featuring all the behind- the-scenes footage from the day of the shoot and then as you know she is performing the track on Sunrise on Friday. The other great thing is that she has been asked to perform an acoustic version of ‘Fireman’ on The Morning Show (following her Sunrise performance on Friday) which we have meshed with Madonna’s ‘Burning Up’, so hopefully you’ll get to watch that too if your morning allows! Its should be great – we’re really excited about it!
Catch Paulini on Sunrise THIS FRIDAY 10th February!!!! I guess she’ll be debuting her live performance of the new single Fireman due out 8th of February!
I have to admit I actually saw the video of this song. I don’t know how it happened or how I got the link but it did. Then it was taken down again. I didn’t even have time to post it here for everyone else. So frustrating – but I can tell you IT SIZZLES!!!! You will not believe what you see.
Meanwhile more pics from her new management team. YAY! Screen caps of the video and a promo banner. Enjoy!
And here’s the soundcloud link to listen to this hot new track.
I’ll get to the single in a minute. Let’s just set the scene!
A couple of days ago TWO amazing things happened.
First, Paulini responded to a tweet I sent her. And not just once but TWICE! I have never seen her do that before.
But before I could recover from the shock of Paulini using twitter the way the Goddess of the Twitterverse intended, another amazing “thing” happened.
I recieved an email from…………… tadadada dada daaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!……….. her new management “team” – Momentom Management! All keen to get involved with her fansite and fans and stuff.
We shall see how long that lasts
But in the meantime they sent me information!!! And a pic!!
We have a lot of new amazing material that Paulini has been working on, and as I’m sure you have heard Paulini has a new single coming out this month called ‘Fireman’ which we are so excited about and can’t wait to release for the world to hear.
Paulini’s new single … will be hitting radio airwaves first week of February – as you may have seen she was featured in the Sunday Telegraph last weekend showcasing her upcoming single – lots more to come!
I have attached a sneak peek pic of Paulini behind the scenes at the ‘Fireman’ shoot…very exciting!!
And here’s the picture!! (hint – click on the picture!!)
PAULINI Curuenavuli has adopted a positive habit, literally, as the former Australian Idol singer moves into acting with a strong small-screen debut in Sisters Of War.
Curuenavuli last week wrapped filming on the ABC telemovie, which explores the stoic nature of Australian and Papua New Guinean nuns as the WWII conflict came to the island.
The film also features Claire van der Boom and Susie Porter.
As this sneak-peek image shows (see right), Curuenavuli has come a long way from Idol and that gold dress. “It was certainly a change for me. You put it [the habit] on and it really helps you get into character, so that was amazing, as was learning about how nuns live their lives and their intense dedication,” Curuenavuli said.
Although she raved about the acting experience, music remains Curuenavuli’s “first love”. She hopes to release a new album later this year. “I’ve also been auditioning for musical theatre and am really keen to get into that world. As for acting, I didn’t expect to get this, but if another beautiful and strong role like this comes up, I’ll definitely go for it.”

Well, I really did think our talented girl had totally sunk into obscurity but it seems she’s been doing something at least.
From Paulini’s official site.
Paulini features in the first single ‘Believe Again’ from Ronan Keating’s highly anticipated “Duet” album. ‘Believe Again’ was serviced to Australian radio today, 25 October, and will be released on November 5″.
The rest of the article on her official site is really a promotion for Ronan’s new album.
The song, like all of Ronan’s album, is only due for release in Australia and New Zealand. I don’t really get that. This is the age of the internet. Why not just release it to the world as a download. *shakes head and rolls eyes*.
Elsewhere I uncovered bits of information about the song. It was originally written by Ronan for a Danish guy for the 2009 Eurovision contest.
Last year in Moscow the Danish entry performed by (Niels) Brinck ended 13th in the final, which is respectable but not exactly winning.
Believe Again scored a #1 hit in Denmark and got a platinum award. It also spent 2 weeks on the Swedish charts reaching # 44.
Who knows what could have been if there had been a proper release in Europe.
But almost a year later Believe Again is a winner at Eurocovers with the most successful coverversions of the year.
I had a listen to the Eurovision version. Cant say I’m excited but I’ll hope for the best.
For the lyric fiends amongst you here’s the words and stuff – I guess they’ll do a sort of “verse each” thing and then unite in the chorus or sommat
Believe again
You made it so easy to fall
I could not stand at all
I saw you beside me
You never saw me there at all
I promised you all this
I made plans thinking this was it
I never imagined I’d find you
Lose myself instead
I never had a picture of an end
And I… I wanna believe in love
I wanna believe in something bigger
Than the two of us, yeah…
I… I wanna breathe again
I wanna go back to the days
The days I had my innocence
I wanna believe again
I picked up the pieces
And put them back where they belong
But something is missing
Though I look the same, I’m not that strong
But I’m gonna learn to trust again
And I… I wanna believe in love
I wanna believe in something bigger
Than the two of us (The two of us)
And I… I wanna breathe again
I wanna go back to the days
The days I had my innocence
I wanna believe again
For without love, what do we become?
I never had a picture of an end
And I… I wanna believe in love
I wanna believe in something bigger
Than the two of us (The two of us)
I… I wanna breathe again
I wanna believe
I wanna believe
I wanna believe again

Hello there!!!
Seems our lovely girl is still out there doing things and finally something concrete has happened.
Just received an email from RPM, Paulini’s new Indie mob. Apparently they have re-launched her official website.
Go see!! Go see!!
There is info about her singles, including her latest, Scarless and links to her other online doodads as well as videos and news. Looks pretty kewl!
Let’s hope this one is more responsive and friendly to her fans than the first time round!
Fluffy 8th Birthday featuring Paulini (Live)
Paulini earned her place as one of Australia’s most popular female singers, after reaching the finals of Australian Idol back in 2003. From Idol Paulini went onto to release singles both as a solo artist and as a member of the pop outfit Young Divas.

Fluffy Birthday Poster
Australia’s own First Lady of Soul and R&B, Paulini’s has an instinctive ability to explore the natural range of a song can be traced to her early years living with her family in Fiji. Born into a large, Christian family of six, Paulini was raised in an environment where singing seemed like the most natural thing in the world. “Everyone sat around and sang,” recalls Paulini. “And any chance I had to sing, I was there.”
Like many teenagers growing up in the 90s, Paulini was a huge fan of pop divas like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, and their influence still informs her vocals. “When I was 12, 13, I absolutely loved them – and I still do… even if that duet was a bit over the top!” But it is Aretha Franklin and Beyonce Knowles who have had the greatest impact on Paulini’s vocal approach. “I just love the way they’re on the edge and they’re not safe with the way they sing their songs. You know, whatever comes out, comes out. It doesn’t necessarily make sense with the music, but it works. They nail everything with feel.”
Paulini infuses her songs with a raw, gospel-tinged edge, to bolsters emotional integrity. “The great thing about singing and music,” says Paulini, “is that you express what you’re feeling from inside and maybe that’s why some of the songs or my vocals seem a bit dark.”
After a short hiatus from the stage, Paulini returns to play Fluffy. Be there when Paulini drives the diva at Family 8th Birthday, Fluffy Sunday 12.
[Thanks to moz for the headsup!]
I don’t think Paulini will mind if I displace her news for the moment and use this space to let people know how they can help the people in bushfire ravaged Victoria.

A firefighter rescues a baby sugar-glider from the fires
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people of Kingslake, Marysville and surrounding areas who have suffered so much in the last few days.
We all want to help but apparently they really have enough donations of clothes and food etc for the moment at least.
I believe they are looking for blood donors but otherwise the best thing you can do is – if you can afford it – make a donation of money.
Here are some ways to donate or support the people in Victoria’s fire-devastated regions.
Make a donation by calling 13 72 58 or via the Salvation Army website at www.salvos.org.au
Go to the cricket today – An appeal will run during today’s one-day cricket international between Australia and New Zealand at the Adelaide Oval and revenue from all tickets sold will also be donated. The Australian players will also donate their match fees from the game, while Cricket Australia has contributed $100,000 and the South Australian Cricket Association has pledged $25,000.
Go to the footy – Friday night there will be an AFL Bushfire Appeal game between the Western Bulldogs and Essendon at the Telstra Dome. The league will donate all proceeds of the game to communities affected by the fires.
Support one of the telethons - Channel 7 will run a telethon during Friday night’s game at Telstra Dome and sports players will attend Thursday night’s telethon on Channel 9.
Go to the rugby – The four Australian Super 14 rugby teams will co-ordinate donations at their first home games of the season, which begins at the weekend.
Big thanks to the dedicated firefighters, hopes and wishes that the fires are stopped asap and much disgust at whoever it was who started these murderous fires (you are pretty much the scum of the earth).
