Four of Australia’s most celebrated female artists Christine Anu, Grace Knight, Paulini and Monica Trapaga, come together for the love of Jazz & Blues music and to pay homage to legendary Greats in a two hour show. Ladies Of Jazz evokes an atmosphere of glamour and intrigue with an out pouring of soul and class in every note.
The Ladies Of Jazz show has two facets.
The first, Ladies Of Jazz will provide an explosive celebration of music from the 30’s, 40’ through to now. Songs made famous by iconic singers like Julie London, Etta James, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald – artists that continue to influence artists of this generation.
The second, four celebrated and beautiful artists with incredible voices which have paved their own way on the Australian music scene through years of hard work and dedication.
Christine Anu is not just a famous singer. She’s not just a famous singer who happens to act. For the uninitiated, Christine is arguably Australia’s most successful indigenous performer and one of Australia’s most popular recording artiste, backed by an award-winning repertoire spanning across music, theatre, dance, film, television and children’s entertainment.
Her illustrious career over two decades boasts of platinum albums, sell-out musicals, Hollywood blockbusters, and high-profiled collaborations with showbiz and musical luminaries such as Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge), Paul Kelly and David Atkins.
Four solo albums later, Christine pulls out all the stops with the formation of Stylin Up Entertainment, a collective focused on developing and producing new media brands that are proudly Australian. After scoring the acting role of ‘Lola’ the jazzy nightclub singer in the ABC TV mini-series Come In Spinner, Grace recorded her first Jazz album with Vince Jones. Come In Spinner charted for over a year and was hotly followed by Stormy Weather which made Grace the only artist in Australian musical history to have two albums in the top 5 in the same week.
Graces longevity in the industry is testament to her success with ARIA nominations and awards in the 80’s, 90’s, through to current day.
Grace has performed for the likes of Diana – The Princess of Wales, Bill and Hilary Clinton, The King of Thailand, and the current and former Prime Ministers of Australia.

Paulini is one of Australia’s most promising performers and vocalists of current times.
Paulini has won two ARIA #1 Chart Awards, been nominated for an ARIA Award for Highest Selling Single for Angel Eyes and won two Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards through her work with Young Divas.
Paulini has also become a household name via her television work, appearing in It Takes Two and Celebrity Overhaul. She has toured Australia with Young Divas and as a support act on national tours with the likes of Guy Sebastian, Tina Arena and Human Nature. It features her favourite collection of 1920s & 1930s tunes, performed by Australia’s leading Jazz musicians, Bob Barnard, David Seidel, Peter Locke, Andrew Dickeson, Paul Furniss & David Blenkhorn.
Monica is now gaining recognition as a successful retailer, focusing on vintage furniture & home wares, with her gorgeous store RECLAIM by Monica Trapaga in Sydney’s Summer Hill.
