Throw your arms around me!

{mosimage}Good old Vindiezel has already uploaded tonights performance of Throw Your Arms Around Me to his youtube site. You can watch it Here  You can also download it from his file site HERE

Very odd judging tonight, they scored in the mid-range but Ross Wilson gave their performance a 4!!! Not much you can say about that?  Meanwhile, the hardest judge, Amanda Pelman,  gave them a score of 7. Talk about lack of consistency in the judging!! Smile But hey – we LOVE Amanda!

Paulini sang beautifully but Simon seems to have lost a lot of confidence so his breathing and projection are almost non-existent. Watching the video back it looks like he's a bit over-whelmed by Miss P and has stopped believing in himself. Simon's vocals were pitchy but ok. The problem was there was absolutely no connection with the audience from him – and even Paulini was more focussed on Simon – trying to encourage him. Guys!!! Don't forget about us mob sitting out here watching you!

Simon!!! You are a born entertainer! What are you doing????? I know it's hard to stop looking at the beautiful Paulini, but you GOTTA! YOU are the star of this gig, Paulini is just there to help. And we've seen you do it so we know you can. Maybe Paulini needs to take a leaf out of Guy's book and make Simon do some singing in front of random crowds of people. Also a little choreography wouldn't hurt – I reckon Simon does much better when he moves around and gets involved in the fun of the performance. Anyway, I have my fingers, eyes and everything else crossed that they make it through next week and that Simon delivers a brilliant performance.

But all this puts them (undeservedly) at the very bottom of the rankings this week. So they need your votes more than ever!!

Text SIMON to 194 777 or ring 1902 555 012

There are a couple of moments worth highlighting from last night's show. One was when Simon stuffed up the words and sang "spread your wings" iinstead of "shed your skin" (something we all do when we sing that song LOL) and if you watch the vid you can see Paulini do a cute little heel kick in response. And the second was when Paulini and Simon left the stage leaving Jade and Michael and katie and Dave as the couples facing elimination. Before she left, Paulini stopped to give Jade an encouraging hug. Sweet. And of course, there's Paulini's soaring vocals in the chorus of the song, just stunning!

And finally, what on earth was going on with all those Paulini/Simon banners in the audience??? They were everywhere.

Can't wait for Hayden's report of the night.

Meanwhile, Paulini's single So Over You is moving UP in the ARIA Urban chart, up two places this week to number 16!  GREAT NEWS!

And This Time I Know It's For Real has gone Gold and moved back up the ARIA singles chart to number 2.

It Takes Eight – Live From Cloud Nine

From the 3rd episode of ITT – live: Hayden, our intrepid roving reporter,  gives a first hand account from his night on Cloud Nine (Coventry and Wells Streets in Southbank) with Kelly, Talia, Darren, Simon, Paulini’s two nieces and the Divine Miss P herself!

{mosimage}We interrupt this fantastic article to bring you late breaking news from our American "correspondent" – Joseph .

Paulini's album – Superwoman – has been…. wait for it …. DELAYED!!! Yes I know. What a big hooting surprise. It's now got another brand new fictitious release date of July 10. Isn't this fun …  NOT!

Sony/BMG are now officially morons.

Anyhoo, back to the fantastic story written by our very own Hayden – who could do a much better job managing Paulini's recordings than the BMG mob, with his hands tied behind his back, blindfolded and standing on his head in a bucket of wine. That's our Hayden just above this paragraph -  with his arms around Superwoman. And just below is Kel – also with arms around said Super Soul diva but you might need to click "Read more" to see it and all the other delicious photos.

You can read Hayden's on-the-spot report of the second epsiode of It Takes Two HERE

Don't forget, if you missed their performances (or just want to relive them – and who wouldnt!!?) you can download them from THIS SITE courtesy of the mysterious "vindiezel"!!

And in other news: This Time I Know It's For Real is number one this week on the "other chart" (ie the Brazin group of retailers who pulled out of the ARIA database)  – although it only made number 2 on the crippled ARIA chart. So another number 1 song for our Miss P – pity about the ARIA/Brazin dispute which has probably kept the Divas from the number 1 spot on both charts.

And CONGRATULATIONS TO PAULINI for her nomination for Best Female Artist in the Australian and New Zealand Urban Music Awards. There were a lot of contenders for the nominations and Paulini was one of 4 female artists eventaully chosen by ordinary voters like YOU. The winners will be announced at the Awards Night in July. More information to come.{moscomment}

UPDATE:

TOTALLY ROCKED DA HOUSE!!

I can't wait to get the news on what this was like live because we all saw it on the television and it was AWESOME!

You can watch it again at You Tube as a streaming video (thanks to vindiezel again). You can also download it for yourself here . If ANYONE has a video of it that includes the judging sequence and/or other takes of Paulini and Simon during the show I would kill to get hold of it.

And yes guys – we saw you AND heard you in the audience!!! Yay!! Money mouth

—————————————————————————

Some of our very own bestest favourite regular members have been lucky enough to score tickets to tonight's live broadcast of It Takes Two (6.30, channel 7 – you know the drill) in Melbourne.

Anomecron, Hayden (aka naggindragon), Kel and Luke are all heading off together to see the Divine Miss P do her stuff live and up close so keep a look out for them on your screen tonight. I wish I was there to see them all meeting nommie for the first time! Laughing

So how will you know them if you see them on tv??? Well first off, whoever's making the biggest noise and carry-on when Paulini is up is likely to be them. But secondly, if they can bring them in, our guys & gal have made some bewdifull posters to wave in the air. Here's a sneak look at them (the posters that is, not Nommie & Kel etc) so you'll know what to watch out for.

Good to see they're all using the traditional, time-honored war-cry of the die-hard Paulini fan (so familiar to anyone who's ever heard "that woman" yelling out on any mp3 of Paulini singing during the Idol contest) – yes I'm talking about "GO PAULINI".

We're expecting a full report and lotsa photos guys!!!

Don't  forget to vote for Simon and Paulini before the show starts tonight or we might not see her again on ITT… and that would make me sad. Cry

PS   Big hugs and sympathy to Talia who couldnt go with them coz she's sick. Awwwww. Hope you feel better soon honey!

It Takes Two

Excellent performance last night of Fly Me To The Moon by Paulini and her partner Simon – he's not a bad singer at all. I think their scores were a bit low but that's what happens when you go first – the judge's have nothing to use as a bench mark – except you! Well done guys!

For those who missed it or live overseas – watch her sing with Simon HERE! (thanks to vindiezel) You will need to register an account there to see all of it.

It Takes Two

UPDATE: Paulini will be on Channel 7′s Sunrise show, Wednesday morning (17 May) performing live at the Thank You event in Beaconsfield, Tasmania.

{mosimage}It Takes Two

There’s a lot of buzz in the media about Paulini starring in a new television show on Channel 7 called It Takes Two which features professional singers teaching other ordinary celebs how to sing.

The new show was announced during the finale of Dancing With the Stars when Paulini performed This Time I Know It’s For Real with the Young Divas. Darryl Sommers briefly spoke to Paulini and asked her about the new show’s name. Paulini replied "It’s called Just the Two of Us" and had to be corrected by Darryl. While this seemed like a total "blonde moment" for Paulini, it makes more sense when you know that the show is actually modelled on a British show called Just the Two of Us and was originally going to use the same title.

{mosimage}

Paulini will be pairing up with cricketer Michael Bevan who met her for the first time at the DWTS final show. Other celebs are yet to be announced but it is confirmed that Guy Sebastian will also be coaching someone and the show will feature a range of musical styles including pop, RnB and country. Rumour is that Grant "the weatherman" Denyer will host the show.

Should be an interesting exercise. But when it’s all over, I’d like to see a show about Michael teaching Paulini to play cricket.
