AUSTRALIAN Idol favourite Paulini Curuenavuli is back on the radar.

The Fijian-born singer, who only months ago was waiting by the phone in the hope of hearing from a record company, is on the verge of getting her first album out.
Curuenavuli, who signed with Sony soon after her obligations with BMG ended, has spent the past month recording.
But fans will have to wait a bit longer to hear her own music, as the album is a collection of covers.
The 21-year-old, who admits she is still happily living at home in Sydney, said: “The sound that’s going to come out of this album is very organic . . . really straight up.”
The first single will be Angel Eyes, by Jeff Healy.
And Curuenavuli hasn’t forgotten her roots.
“If you think you’re a great singer, then you should definitely try out for Idol,” she said.
“I couldn’t have asked for anything better, this is my dream come true.”
